Yes, I know I’m late on this but better late than never, right?
So without further ado, I’m going to get straight to the point. From most anticipated to least.
1. Glass
I liked Split a lot so I’m looking forward to Glass a lot but I have yet to see Unbreakable so I’m not as excited as I should be. I love James McAvoy in anything, he’s extremely talented and charismatic so he is definitely worth watching. Who doesn’t love Samuel L.Jackson right? Another reason to go see this. Also Sarah Paulson is in this, so there’s that. The trailer did give me some Fox Superhero Movie vibes which is a problem considering this is supposed to be a breather from those movies, but nevertheless I am going to see it and I can’t wait. Just wish it had a better release date.
2. Dark Phoenix
Let me start by saying that I absolutely love this version of the X-Men and I really do hope that if this is their final movie, that they go out with a bang like Logan. Again James McAvoy is in this so that alone is a bonus. I love Jennifer Lawrence, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Evan Peters and Michael Fassbender. Unfortunately the trailer was pretty average so I hope that the other trailer will get everyone in their seat to see this movie. To be honest I don’t want the X-Men to go to Marvel, they’re too big for a trilogy and some team-ups. The Fox movies proved that. I also hope that they prove that this version is not worth changing.
3. Captain Marvel
It’s just a teaser. I don’t know anything about Captain Marvel so this is all new. I know who the Skrulls are and I know it’s set in the nineties but other than that and a few cameos, I know nothing. This teaser didn’t really excite me then again, teasers rarely do. I will be seeing this obviously. I like the tagline HERo. I hope it works out, we need more female hero leads in movies in general so I appreciate that Marvel is finally making this step. I love the Wonder Woman movie last year so I really hope I’ll love this movie as well. Clearly this movie has an audience as the trailer has 42 million views on Youtube.
4. Pet Sematary
With the recent success of the beloved IT movie, deservedly so by the way, there are many Stephen King adaptations coming in the near future. One of them is a reboot of the movie Pet Sematary based off the book with the same name. I saw the trailer and I cringed so many times. It was so unsettling and creepy, it may be a bit too much for my taste but I can understand why horror fans would be excited for this. I think I might wait for streaming with this.
Which ones will you be seeing?
Is Pet Sematary a must for you?
Do you love James McAvoy as much as I do?
Do you want the X-Men to go to Marvel?
